Vision
Connecting human and machine intelligence to enhance learning.
People. People are central to how CIC conceives, designs, implements, deploys and evaluates practical tools enhanced by analytics and artificial intelligence for learning. CIC connects people across UTS through its university-wide partnerships.
Human/machine intelligence. Data becomes meaningful when given context. In teaching, learning and research, this meaning is ultimately about ideas and arguments, new ways of seeing, and being in the world. Mindful human-computer interaction is of paramount importance to lifelong learning.
Learning. The emergent knowledge, skills and dispositions when people connect to solve problems. Personal and collective intelligence can be augmented or disrupted by machine intelligence. This is the sociotechnical infrastructure design problem.
